Making his first career road start, Pribula completed 23 of 40 passes for 252 yards. He also directed the decisive possession, completing a 12-yard pass to Kevin Coleman Jr. before runs by Pribula, Jamal Roberts and Pribula again produced the go-ahead score.
Auburn gained only 6 yards on four plays during its final possession. Zion Young recorded two of Missouri’s five sacks, while Toriano Pride Jr. intercepted Jackson Arnold in the first quarter to set up a Robert Meyer field goal.
Missouri trailed 17-10 in the fourth quarter before Ahmad Hardy scored from 3 yards out. The tying drive included two 15-yard Auburn penalties and Pribula’s 27-yard completion to Donovan Olugbode, who led Missouri with five catches for 69 yards. Hardy finished with two rushing touchdowns, raising his season total to 11.
Both teams missed chances to settle the game earlier. Auburn kicker Alex McPherson missed three field-goal attempts, including a 50-yard try in the first overtime. Meyer’s 38-yard attempt passed over the left upright, forcing another period.
Auburn had built its fourth-quarter advantage through 1-yard touchdown runs by Arnold and Omar Mabson II, followed by McPherson’s 22-yard field goal. Missouri’s defense repeatedly pressured Arnold and forced stalled possessions to keep the game within reach.
The win moved Missouri to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in SEC play, while Auburn fell to 3-4 and 0-4 in the conference. Missouri also improved to 7-1 in games reaching multiple overtimes. Its 22nd straight win over an unranked opponent was also its 14th victory in the past three seasons when trailing during the fourth quarter.
The result evened the series at 3-3 and answered Missouri’s overtime loss at Auburn in 2022.
