White-Helton grows into two-phase role for Georgia

Georgia junior Sacovie White-Helton has contributed at wide receiver and in the return game during the 2026 season, building on a 2025 campaign in which he appeared in all 14 games. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound receiver from Cartersville, Georgia, wears No. 0.

White-Helton opened 2026 with three receptions for 34 yards and four punt returns for 59 yards against Tennessee State. His 35-yard punt return in that game is his career long.

He delivered his biggest receiving play against Western Kentucky, catching one pass for 70 yards and a touchdown. Along with two punt returns for 23 yards, his totals included an 8-yard rush, which the Georgia profile lists as another career high.

His role continued in SEC play. White-Helton led Georgia with four receptions for 27 yards in a road win at Arkansas and caught two passes in a win over Oklahoma. In a road win at Alabama, he recorded a reception, a rush and a 16-yard kickoff return. Against Auburn, he made four catches for 37 yards and returned three punts for seven yards.

White-Helton added two punt returns for 28 yards, including a 30-yard return, in Georgia’s win over Florida. That production followed a 2025 season in which he totaled eight receptions for 70 yards and returned five punts for 57 yards.

He first appeared for Georgia as a reserve receiver against Tennessee Tech, Florida and UMass in 2024 after enrolling in January and participating in spring drills. Before college, White-Helton played at Cass High School under Steve Gates. His 91 receptions for 1,409 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior helped Cass reach the GHSA Class 5A quarterfinals.

Why it matters

White-Helton’s 2026 game log reflects contributions as a receiver and return specialist. His career highs include four receptions, 70 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown and 59 punt-return yards.
